Clouds | Life is Like Clouds

Lately, I've been looking at lot at clouds.

Clouds are there, and yet they are not.

When we approach a ball of cloud & reach out to touch it, we couldn't.

When we approach a ball of clouds with a jar or container to capture it, we couldn't.

We see ever-shifting shapes formed by the clouds against the vast blue sky.

Sometimes, the clouds seemed to dance a lonely slow dance on their own - savoring every moment and enjoying the independence.

Sometimes, they would join up with other clouds for a breathtaking group dance. And when they part, they would have left a piece of itself with the other clouds.

Sometimes, the clouds would disperse and disappear slowly but surely.

Sometimes, the clouds would disperse and seem about to disappear when they begin to take on a 'second life'.

No one cloud would remain the same - unchanged.

No dance pattern would be repeated exactly again and again.

Clouds | two

The clouds in the sky,
Mirrors the lonely path on the land.

And the clouds said to the path, "Meet you at the horizon."

Rain | one

The time was 7:23pm. A big storm had come earlier, coloured the sky with tones of orange and left behind tunes of trickling raindrops.

Earth is beautiful.

Life is beautiful.

On 19 March 2009, President Obama "
shouldered the blame for the multi-million dollar bonuses paid out by bailed out insurance giant AIG that sparked public outrage." He said:

"
I know Washington's all in a tizzy and everybody's pointing fingers at each other and saying it's all their fault, the Democrats' fault, the Republicans' fault. Listen, I'll take responsibility. I'm the President."

Such is the speech of a great leader.

There is hope on earth still.....

Contentment

Time was 8.30am.

The morning sky was grey and gloomy.

The sun burst through the dull sky with a ball of bright orange.

I captured this moment.

I took a long look at it.

I heaved a sigh of contentment.

I carried on the rest of the day with a smile on my face.

Scenes of Singapore | An Eventful Death?

There was once a majestic tree at Cairnhill.

It was decided that the tree had to make way for progress.

For comfort.

For LUXURIOUS comfort to be enjoyed by mankind only.

Then, it was chopped down.

Soon, a new condominium of 58 units will stand where the tree once stood.

Let us reminisce and see the tree at its glory.

樹栽在那裡,根就生在那裡。
但是,在一個為了進長而毫不顧慮一切的國家,
根 可以有个長生之處嗎?

Quiet Moments | one

Lunar New Year has lost its meaning to me a long time ago.

It's no big deal celebrating it.

I went out on the first day of the lunar new year. Many places were totally deserted! Shops were closed and there were just a handful of passers-by.

In contrast, on the third day of the lunar new year, everywhere was bustling with people.

I began to like this festive season especially the first two days. It does create some quiet moments after all.

I felt I could breathe freely once more.

Moon | one

I always find the full moon captivating.

Looking at it through the spread out branches of trees,

the moon seems less naked and more mysterious.

Scenes of Singapore | Lakeview

This is Lakeview.

The empty patch of land used to be Lakeview wet market and hawker centre.

Spent my childhood years at this place.

Took this in the evening at around 6.30pm

Fell in love with the beautiful sky.
