We then begin to recreate the existing DNA we have.

We start cloning.

We start to mutate - mutate biologically and morally....

Rain | one

The time was 7:23pm. A big storm had come earlier, coloured the sky with tones of orange and left behind tunes of trickling raindrops.

Earth is beautiful.

Life is beautiful.


On 19 March 2009, President Obama "shouldered the blame for the multi-million dollar bonuses paid out by bailed out insurance giant AIG that sparked public outrage." He said:

"I know Washington's all in a tizzy and everybody's pointing fingers at each other and saying it's all their fault, the Democrats' fault, the Republicans' fault. Listen, I'll take responsibility. I'm the President."

Such is the speech of a great leader.

There is hope on earth still.....

Memory | Floppy disks

 I was unpacking some stuff and found these....

My gosh! Floppy disks!!!

For those who have not seen this before, it's a double-density 5¼-inch disk. Here's the link to Wikipedia for more details.

I remember the flapping sound it created whenever I sent my documents there to be saved.

I used a camera phone to take this picture.

My use of a white envelope as the base created an accidental glow from the areas that are white. It was as though I had used a filter.

An accidental soft-focused look to bring out the nostalgia.

National Icon

It has been raining quite often these days.

Straits Times reported that the Merlion (ah, our dear old Merlion) was struck by lightning. Part of its mane was shattered.

 Is this a sign that it's time we have a new icon?

We are a country with an ever changing landscape.

Our Merlion has matured to the category one terms as "old".

Time to remove the old and bring on the new.

Thus, a new icon will be needed.

Let's introduce the great mighty CRANE.

The Crane can be seen everywhere! in Singapore.It is a great icon to symbolize Singapore's progress.

It screams out to the world that Singapore is a country strong in Nation BUILDING.

And if we require it to sprout something, it could always sprout diesel oil from its engine.
